Following Lucifer season 5 episode 9, there was a special title card that aired paying tribute to Craig Charles Henderson and Arthur Melbourne Hooper. So what can we tell you about them, and the impact that they had on the show family?
Let us begin with Arthur Melbourne Hooper. Episode 9 was very much about family, and it makes sense that a title card would pay tribute to someone Tom Ellis loved very much: His grandfather. Hooper lived to be almost 100 years old, and clearly lived a very full life. He was loved by many, and you can get a sense of that in a post on Instagram at the bottom of this article by Ellis’ sister Annwen. It is one that Tom himself commented on, noting how much their grandfather loved her. Tom had posted previously about his grandfather, celebrating his 95th birthday on Twitter back in 2015.
As for Henderson, unfortunately we have been unable to acquire any information on his connection to the show as of this writing. It is fair to assume, though, that the love the show family has for him is equal to that of Hooper. There is a significance to the two of them airing in a title card together, whether it be wanting their names to stand out at the start of the season or connecting them thematically to the story itself.
Airing a title card tribute is one of the most loving ways that a show can pay tribute to someone important to them, whether they be an actor, a crew member, or someone close to the show. These cards live on forever in subsequent airings, and can also inspire viewers to acquire more information and learn more about them. Family means everything, and that is something that the series emphasized throughout episode 9.

В беседе с ET Online Алехандро признался, что о судьбе Дэна он узнал довольно давно. Актер был доволен тем, что придумали для его персонажа шоураннеры Илди Модрович и Джо Хендерсон, а развязку истории героя в 5 сезоне Алехандро назвал «действительно хорошим выбором и сильным повествованием».
Однако Кевин Алехандро подтвердил, что рано прощаться с Дэном! Актер заявил, что все-таки герой вернется под занавес шоу. Правда, он не уточнил, каким будет камео. Даже не намекнул, сможет ли Люци вытащить Дэна из ада:

Актер прокомментировал и главную проблему Дэна – его борьбу с чувством вины. По словам Алехандро, только Дэн может помочь себе в этой ситуации. Говорит, Дэну пора принять своих внутренних демонов. И затем артист интригующе дал понять, что сцены с Дэном в 6 сезоне удивят поклонников:
«Я был на съемочной площадке 6 сезона, так что он определенно вернется, только не так, как все думают».
Кевин Алехандро добавил, что финал «Люцифера» станет логичным завершением всего, о чем ранее рассказывали в сериале. Lucifer is finally back with eight brand new episodes on Netflix, two of which include touching tributes to people associated with the production who have recently passed away.
The first tributes at the start of Lucifer season five part two, which is dedicated to the memory of Craig Charles Henderson (1947 – 2019) and Arthur Melbourne Hooper (1920 – 2020).
Little is known about Craig, but it is believed he could be some relation to Lucifer co-showrunner Joe Henderson, who follows someone of that name on Twitter.
The account has been inactive since 2018 but it was a vocal supporter of the Save Lucifer campaign, sending out messages such as: “Never giving up save Lucifer.”

Meanwhile, Arthur Melbourne Hooper is the late grandfather of actor Tom Ellis, who plays the title role in the Netflix series and is also known for his work on Miranda and Merlin.
The series finale sees another dedication, this time going to Merritt Yohnka (1958 – 2020), who served as stunt co-ordinator on Lucifer’s third and fourth seasons.
He was clearly very prolific in his field, with credits for stunt work across a wide variety of big name productions including Rizzoli & Isles, Chuck, The Shield and Pretty Little Liars.
Yohnka passed away in 2020 at the age of 62 years old following a brave cancer battle, leaving behind a wife, children and “large extended family” according to IMDb.

The second half of the season picks from the events of the dramatic cliffhanger which saw God arrive on Earth to break up the fight of Lucifer, Michael and Amenadiel.
These new episodes come after the first eight instalments arrived back in August, 2020.
Lucifer pays tribute to Craig Charles Henderson
One of the episodes of season 5B was dedicated in memory to Craig Charles Henderson (1947 – 2019).
There are not many details about Craig but Lucifer’s co-showrunner Joe Henderson is the only follower he has on Twitter.
In May 2019, Joe shared a picture with Craig and other family members on his Instagram profile which he captioned with the words: “Henderson boys together”.
Craig was a keen advocate for Lucifer’s revival when it was initially cancelled and he actively shared his support via his Twitter profile.
One tweet from June, 2018 says: “Never giving up save Lucifer.”
